Hero Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on a story allowing you to experience the Asian myth and folklore in a martial arts environment. Hero Online is free to play MMORPG, you just need to register and download the client to be able to play the game.

The story
After the dark days of the Twelve Demons, the world remained peaceful. The mysterious hero thrived as the leader of his own house of warriors, where all the greatest fighters gathered to join. The hero became known as the greatest fighter of all time, and the people labeled him The Great Dragon. For twenty years, the people of the land knew true peace as The Great Dragon upheld justice and fairness throughout the land. It was even foretold that as long as The Great Dragon lived, the people of the land would experience no danger.

But on a sad and twisted day, The Great Dragon was found dead with evidence of murder pointing towards someone within his house. Ironically, the alleged murderer was no warrior or fighter; it was his wife.

Fear and apprehension spread like wildfire across the land as news of The Great Dragon’s death spread. Uncertainty reigned supreme in everyone’s heart. If the Twelve Dragons have truly returned from their graves, all of heaven and earth would be in grave danger, unless a new hero was to present himself…

The gameplay
When you start you’ll have to choose one of four characters (two types of male and female): The Ruthless Blade, Overseer of the Sky, The Piercing Eye, or the Elegant Mystic. Each character will have his/her own strength, weakness, weapon proficiencies, and stats and during the game you can specialize in on of four different classes: Warrior, Hunter, Physician or Assassin. “The Ruthless Blade” character has the ability to wield a bow, swords and blades. “The Peircing Eyes” character has the ability to use Swords, Blades and throwing weapon. “the Overseer of Sky” uses axes, rods, and spears, and “The Elegant Mystic” uses gauntlets, spear and rods. Every combative action, from normal attacks to special moves, looks like it was taken from a martial arts movie. Even the modes of transportation within Hero Online are fun to look at! Players can move with incredible speeds, fly over buildings, or walk on air. Not to mention being able to ride and fight on different pet animals. In Hero Online, there are two types of pets, mountable and non-mountable pets. Non-mountable pets have the ability to help their masters in combat as for the mountable pets, they can’t attack, but they can carry their masters as well as allow them to fight while carrying them.
